History

The company was established in 1994 as the legal successor of the former Serbian Public Clearing House (SDK).

From 1973 until the early 1990’s the SDK was the only company providing auditing services in the former Yugoslavia on the basis of a contract with Coopers & Lybrand London which included the transfer of methodology and staff training. We are proud of the fact that our older colleagues learned about auditing in their homeland, at a time when the word auditing was completely unknown in this part of Europe.

With the arrival of leading auditing companies in Serbia, the Revizija i racunovodstvo a.d. commercial auditing company, owned by the state, was established at the beginning of 1994. Almost the entire auditing cadre from the SDK joined this company and a dozen of them are still among us. As soon as the company was founded we started the privatisation process which was finally completed in 2008 when the company was purchased by a consortium of employees.

Aware of the need to be included in the global accounting business, we joined the international accounting association the Midsnell Group International (MGI) in 2002.We operated under the name the MGI Revizija i racunovodstvo until 2008 and this cooperation brought us valuable international experience and helped us to establish higher professional and organisational standards.

In the aim of providing our clients with better access to the international market and ensuring methodological support and international training for our employees we become a full member of Moore Stephens International Limited at the end of 2008.
